Roadmap to Becoming a Cell Phone Free School- Logistics and Resources for School Leaders
Wednesday July 23, 2025 1:40pm - 2:30pm EDT
Is your school going cell phone free in the fall or is your school considering doing this? You're not in it alone! Don't spend your summer recreating the wheel!

Hampshire Regional High School went cell phone free in the fall of 2024 using Yondr pouches and we have seen great success for our students (grades 7-12). This workshop will provide all of the logistics that middle and high school leaders are looking for. In this workshop, we will share the resources that we created for our own school so that you don't have to start from scratch. We will review our timeline, budget considerations, staffing considerations, surveys to the community (students, staff, and families), and the shifts that we made in real-time to make this work for us.

This workshop is designed to be as practical as possible so that participants walk away with the logistics, resources, and confidence to implement their own cell phone procedures in the fall.

Thursday July 24, 2025 2:30pm - 3:20pm EDT
Data the MCAS suggests that some students know more than they show in their open response answers. For other students, open response questions can reveal a lack of deep understanding - an inability to go further up Bloom's taxonomy of thinking or show their thinking.
